About Luxier
Luxier is an online marketplace, operated by CoFabri LLC, that connects owners of watches and jewelry (“Customers”) with vetted independent watchmakers and jewelry specialists (“Vendors”). Luxier provides the platform for requests, quotes, messaging, payment, and dispute handling. Luxier does not itself repair, appraise, insure, or ship items.
Vendors are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, or partners of Luxier, and the service contract for any job is between the Customer and the Vendor.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use Luxier. You sign in through CoFabri’s hosted sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account, and you must tell us promptly about unauthorized access. Vendors must apply and be approved before they can accept work. Approval, tier, and visibility are determined by Luxier and may change.
How Requests, Quotes, and Orders Work
- A Customer submits a service request describing the item and the work needed. Luxier matches the request to Vendors and may share it with them.
- A Vendor may respond with a quote carrying a single firm price, a scope of work, and an estimated turnaround. A quote that is accepted becomes an order at that price. Work outside the quoted scope requires a new quote.
- You must describe your item accurately and completely, including condition, known issues, and documentation. Vendors must describe their services and abilities accurately and perform the work with the skill and care expected of a professional in their trade.
Payments
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you agree to Stripe’s terms. Vendors must complete Stripe onboarding to receive payouts.
- When a Customer pays, the payment is held by Luxier’s Stripe account. It is released to the Vendor, less Luxier’s commission, when the Customer confirms the completed work, or automatically a set number of days after the Vendor marks the item shipped if there is no open dispute. As of this draft that period is 10 days.
- A Customer may cancel for a full refund until the Vendor starts work. After that, the dispute process applies.
- Luxier’s commission is a percentage of the order price, subject to a minimum fee, and is shown to Vendors before they accept work. Vendor plan fees, if any, are billed through CoFabri.
- When a refund is issued, payment processing fees charged by Stripe are not returned.
- Card disputes (chargebacks) filed with a card issuer freeze payout of the affected order until resolved.
Disputes
A Customer or Vendor may open a dispute on a paid order that has not yet been paid out by describing the problem and attaching evidence. Opening a dispute pauses payout. Luxier staff will review the evidence and decide the outcome, which may be a full release to the Vendor, a partial refund, or a full refund to the Customer. Luxier’s decision is made in good faith based on the information provided and is final within the platform, without limiting rights you have under law or against your card issuer.
Shipping and Custody
Items may be shipped between Customer and Vendor. Customers and Vendors are responsible for packaging, carrier selection, insurance, and tracking of items in transit unless Luxier tells you otherwise. Luxier may record custody and tracking details for an order, but it does not take possession of items.
Your Content
You are responsible for the content you provide, including requests, photos, videos, documents, messages, ratings, feedback, and Vendor profile and portfolio material. You represent that you have the right to share it and that it is accurate and lawful. Ratings and feedback must reflect your genuine experience.
You keep ownership of your content. You grant Luxier a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and use it to operate, secure, and promote the marketplace, including showing Vendor profiles and Customer ratings publicly and showing your request to matched Vendors.
Prohibited Uses
You must not:
- Take a transaction, or payment for a transaction begun on Luxier, outside the platform to avoid fees.
- Submit false, misleading, or retaliatory ratings, quotes, disputes, or applications.
- Offer or request counterfeit, stolen, or unlawfully obtained goods.
- Harass, intimidate, or threaten any person or business.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Interfere with or attempt unauthorized access to the platform, or scrape or resell its data.
- Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law.
Enforcement
We may reject or remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, remove Vendors from the marketplace, and hold or reverse payouts where required to resolve a dispute or comply with law. You may stop using Luxier at any time.
